At this time of year, when the albatross are losing their down and getting their regular feathers, they really look funny. It looks as if they have silly hair cuts. When I was in 4th grade we dissected a bolus. It was really gross. There was squid beak, fishing net, sand and string.

Hi Akira/Alex -- Thanks for being honest and saying the bolus dissection was gross. I really wish (sometimes!) that this blog had a way of giving people an idea of smells...somebody has to invent a "scratch and sniff" button for blogs!
